My life is blessed with the 2 most amazing little boys, Maddox and Mason, which have inspired this blog. I hope through the love and craziness of our family, I can give each person who reads this something to smile about! God Bless!

Rain, Rain Go Away!!

Hopefully by now everyone reading this is drying out and getting life back to normal. All the rain and flooding we experienced here in metro Atlanta was crazy to say the least and I know lots of people were affected. Around our house it all started as a fun way to have a little fun and then turned into a mess. Sunday after getting myself and the boys into church with out getting wet, a feat in and of itself, Maddox proceeded to run over to the drain spout while I was putting the umbrella down and started dancing in the rain. So much for keeping him dry! haha So, when we got home and a downpour had begun again I told him to go play and he thought that was the best thing ever . . . especially when daddy joined him a minute or two later. It was so cute and Maddox was soaked. By the time Monday came around it was not fun anymore. We had a river running through our back yard and down the side of the house and Jerrod was literally rescuing people from homes and rushing water all day. I have posted some pictures below. Let's hope we never see this again in our lifetime!!!

Maddox looking back as he went outside making sure it was ok and he was not about to get in trouble.

He was super excited and just stood in the rain . . . he is holding a piece of pizza. haha

Making his way to the puddle.

Jerrod rolled up his pant legs and went out there with Maddox. He thought it was great!

Playing in the puddle.

That is the cable box at the bottom of our driveway. Our house is on a hill and we had a raging river running down the yard.

This is our river. The fence is our neighbors and is the property line. The river is on our backyard.

The side yard which is half ours and half the neighbors. It was becoming a pool.

That is another shot of the river going down the yard from the back.
